Tempered Safety Glass / Toughened Glass is made by heating flat glass to just below its softening temperature (650 °c) and suddenly chilling it with jets of cold air. It results in the outer skins under powerful compressive stress and the interior with severe tensile stress.

| Item | Thickness (mm) | Laminated Glass Tolerance | Tempered Glass Tolerance | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Thickness Tolerance | Thin | 3 | 2.70-3.00mm | 2.70-3.00mm |
| Medium | 5 | 4.70-5.00mm | 4.70-5.00mm | |
| Thick | 8-12 | ±0.30mm | ±0.30mm | |
| Extra Thick | 15-19 | ±0.40mm | ±0.40mm | |
| Cross Bow | All | ≤1.50mm/m | ≤2.00mm/m | |
| Edge Quality | Corners | ≤6mm | ≤10mm | |
5 times harder than ordinary float glass, providing extreme resistance to impact and thermal stress.
Disintegrates into small cubical fragments upon breakage, minimizing the risk of serious injury.
Withstands abrupt temperature changes of up to 220°C, making it perfect for facades and kitchens.
