🔍 Product Description
Tempered Glass Overview Product Title Bar

Insulating glass, also called insulated glass, are sealed units. It refers to two or more lites of glass glazed along the edges with spacers. The composed glass could be monolithic, or laminated glass, with or without coatings (low e coating as typical). There are types of spacers available, such as stainless steel, aluminum, warm edge spacers in various colors.

The space between the glass is sometimes filled with noble gas, such as argon or krypton. 90% filled, which is more helpful to reduce energy consuming. The most common architectural insulating glass unit configuration is 1/4" glass, 1/2" air space and 1/4" glass.

Commonly referred to as an "IGU," insulating glass is the most effective way to reduce air-to-air heat transfer through the glazing. When used in conjunction with low-E or reflective glass coatings, IGUs become an effective means to save energy.

💡 Frequently Asked Questions
1. What are the primary benefits of Insulating Glass Units (IGU)?
IGUs significantly reduce air-to-air heat transfer, making them highly energy-efficient. When combined with Low-E coatings, they help maintain indoor temperatures and lower energy costs.
2. What glass thicknesses and sizes can be customized?
We offer thicknesses ranging from 3mm to 19mm. Custom sizes are available up to a maximum of 18000mm in length for flat units and 3300x8000mm for curved glass.
3. Which gas fillings are used for better insulation?
Units can be filled with dry air, Argon, or Krypton. Argon is typically 90% filled to optimize thermal performance and reduce energy consumption.
4. Can the glass be produced in irregular shapes?
Yes, we can process various irregular shapes including round, oval, trapezoid, and parallel designs. All edges can be bright polished using CNC technology.
5. What spacer options are available for the IGUs?
Options include stainless steel, aluminum, TGI warm edge spacers, and super spacers, with thicknesses ranging from 6mm to 19mm.
6. What is the typical lead time for an order?
The lead time generally ranges from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the specific order quantity and processing requirements.
